Willy worked on a ship run by Captain Amadeus Mozart of the Alliance 83rd Air Assault Wing. On what seemed like a routine patrol of a rim planet in the Burnham Quadrant, the ship was bushwacked by the goram Reavers. Willy and his captain fought them ri shao gou shi bings to what they thought was the very end, but they were rescued by a passin’ Independent boat and sent down to a planet called Whitefall for patchin’. Willy ended up loosin’ a leg to the Reaver’s appetite, but he fared shiny compared to his captain who lost everything from the waste down.

Both him and the cap won an honorable discharge from the Alliance, but Willy’s feelings towards the Independence was never the same. Him and the Captain held a special bond that can only be earned by men on the edge, facin’ the endless black together. Where the captain goes, Willy is sure to follow.
